Vibiemme Domobar servicing from our Brisbane workshop — the variants we take and the parts range behind them.
We still service Vibiemme Domobar machines at our Woolloongabba workshop. We no longer sell the brand, and that is precisely why this page is here — the Domobar has a long life in it and its owners are often told otherwise.
The scope is every single-group domestic and semi-professional Vibiemme.
They share a family resemblance but not a specification, so tell us which one you have when you book — the Super Digital in particular carries electronics the others do not.
The two faults we see most on Domobars are heating elements and the plungers in the group head. Domobar elements are a part we keep in the workshop; pipes, fittings and the less common items are ordered as needed, and we quote before proceeding.
Vibiemme is a legacy brand for us, and parts are the honest strength of this page. We carry a parts range for the Domobar family — heating elements across the different wattages, and pressure gauges — and it exists because these machines keep arriving, not because we are still selling them.
Anything that has to be ordered rather than pulled, we will say so up front, and we quote before proceeding on anything past a routine service.
Usually, and we will tell you when it is not. A machine of this age is a brass-and-steel boiler with a pump, a group and a set of seals — none of which is beyond a workshop that has the parts. What ends a machine is usually a corroded boiler or a discontinued electronic part, not wear.
If yours is close to that line, our guide on whether to repair or replace a coffee machine sets out the framework we use, and we will give you the same answer on the phone that we would give a friend. Where a machine genuinely is finished, we would rather say so than take a booking fee.
Most Domobars sit on the heat-exchanger routine tier; the Super Digital sits on the digital tier above it, because a programmable interface takes more bench time. A routine service covers the group seal, shower screen, tap O-rings and tap gaskets, and the machine runs under load before it goes home. Prices are on the price schedule.
Every price is published on the coffee machine repairs price schedule — routine service tiers, descales, the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate. Nothing is restated here, so there is only ever one version to keep current.
Bookings go through the online service portal, which asks for the machine, the symptom, a drop-off date and the repair limit you want us to work to. Machines booked through the portal are usually back with you within three business days, and often the next day, subject to parts and technician availability. Machines dropped off without a booking are guaranteed repaired within ten business days.
Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee on the work performed and the parts we install — the terms are at servicing guarantees. For turnaround, drop-off hours, parking and ship-in packing, see the Brisbane espresso machine repair page, or the coffee machine servicing and repairs hub for the full list of brands we take.
Yes — the Domobar Junior, the Domobar Super including the Super Digital, and the Piccolo. We no longer sell the brand, but every single-group domestic and semi-professional Vibiemme is in scope.

Usually. These are brass-and-steel machines with standard groups and limited electronic complexity, so most of what goes wrong is repairable. What ends one is normally a corroded boiler rather than wear. Our repair or replace guide sets out how we make that call.
Most Domobars sit on the heat-exchanger routine tier, with the Super Digital on the digital tier above it. Both are published, along with the quotation charge and hourly labour rate, on the coffee machine repairs price schedule.
