Service & repairs
Elektra servicing from our Brisbane workshop, including the Micro Casa lever work most repairers will not take on.
We service Elektra lever machines at our Woolloongabba workshop. That is worth stating plainly, because a manual lever is the machine most repairers turn away: there is no pump to swap and no board to replace, and the work is in the group — the seals, the piston and the spring.
Our scope on Elektra is all lever models, plus the Micro Casa Semi Automatica. We do not service the Elektra Nivola.
The Micro Casa Leva is the machine this page exists for. We sell it in chrome, chrome and brass, and copper and brass, and we service it — which is a shorter list of workshops than you might expect for a machine that has been in production for decades and is still, mechanically, entirely rebuildable.
Lever machines sit on their own routine service tier on the price list, above the pump machines. That is not a brand premium: it reflects that the group work on a lever is more involved than swapping a group seal and a shower screen on an E61.
The Semi Automatica is the pump version of the same compact machine, in chrome and in copper and brass. It is serviced as a pump machine rather than a lever, so it sits on the standard routine tier rather than the lever one.
Elektra is a small range compared with the E61 brands, and we are straight with people about what that means: the consumables are workable, and anything unusual is ordered rather than pulled. We quote before proceeding on anything beyond a routine service, so you find out what a part costs before the work starts, not after.
Because the range is small, it is worth a phone call on 1300 551 626 before you drive over with an unusual model — we would rather tell you on the phone than have you make the trip.
Every routine service covers the group seal, shower screen, tap O-rings and tap gaskets, and the machine runs under load on the bench before it goes home. Tier prices are on the price schedule.
Usually, and we will tell you when it is not. A machine of this age is a brass-and-steel boiler with a pump, a group and a set of seals — none of which is beyond a workshop that has the parts. What ends a machine is usually a corroded boiler or a discontinued electronic part, not wear.
If yours is close to that line, our guide on whether to repair or replace a coffee machine sets out the framework we use, and we will give you the same answer on the phone that we would give a friend. Where a machine genuinely is finished, we would rather say so than take a booking fee.
Every price is published on the coffee machine repairs price schedule — routine service tiers, descales, the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate. Nothing is restated here, so there is only ever one version to keep current.
Bookings go through the online service portal, which asks for the machine, the symptom, a drop-off date and the repair limit you want us to work to. Machines booked through the portal are back with you in three to five business days, subject to parts and technician availability. Dropped off without a booking, allow up to ten.
Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee on the work performed and the parts we install — the terms are at servicing guarantees. For turnaround, drop-off hours, parking and ship-in packing, see the Brisbane espresso machine repair page, or the coffee machine servicing and repairs hub for the full list of brands we take.
Yes. Lever work is something we take on and most repairers do not — the work is in the group rather than in a pump or a board. Our scope on Elektra is all lever models plus the Micro Casa Semi Automatica. We do not service the Elektra Nivola.
Because the group work is more involved. On an E61 pump machine a routine service is a group seal, a shower screen and the tap O-rings. On a manual lever the group itself comes apart, which takes longer on the bench. Lever machines therefore sit on their own routine tier, published with the rest on the price schedule.
Yes. It is the pump version of the same compact machine and is serviced as a pump machine, so it sits on the standard routine tier rather than the lever one.
Elektra is a small range next to the E61 brands, so the honest answer is that routine consumables are straightforward and anything unusual is ordered in. We quote before proceeding on non-routine work, so you know what a part costs before we start. If you have an unusual model, call 1300 551 626 before making the trip.
A Micro Casa Leva sits on the manual lever tier and the Semi Automatica on the standard routine tier. Both are published, along with the quotation charge and hourly labour rate, on the coffee machine repairs price schedule.
