Service & repairs
Expobar servicing from our Brisbane workshop β the models we still take, and what a service costs.
We still service Expobar machines at our Woolloongabba workshop. We no longer sell the brand, which makes this worth saying out loud: plenty of Expobar owners have been told their machine is too old to bother with, and that is usually not true.
The scope is every single-group domestic and semi-professional Expobar. It does not include the Ruggero β that one is outside what this workshop takes, and we would rather you knew before booking than after.
The machines that come through are the ones that sold in volume here:
These are heat-exchanger machines of a generation that was built to be serviced β brass boilers, standard groups, and mechanical rather than electronic complexity. That is why they are still worth putting on a bench.
Expobar is a legacy brand for us rather than a current one, and we describe that accurately. We carry a parts range for these machines β boilers, elements and gauges for the Office and Minore families β and it exists because these machines keep coming in, not because we are still selling them.
Anything that has to be ordered rather than pulled, we will say so, and we quote before proceeding on anything beyond routine.
Usually, and we will tell you when it is not. A machine of this age is a brass-and-steel boiler with a pump, a group and a set of seals β none of which is beyond a workshop that has the parts. What ends a machine is usually a corroded boiler or a discontinued electronic part, not wear.
If yours is close to that line, our guide on whether to repair or replace a coffee machine sets out the framework we use, and we will give you the same answer on the phone that we would give a friend. Where a machine genuinely is finished, we would rather say so than take a booking fee.
The Office, Office Leva and Minore are heat-exchanger machines and sit on the heat-exchanger routine tier. A routine service covers the group seal, shower screen, tap O-rings and tap gaskets, and the machine is run under load before it goes home. The tier price, the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate are on the price schedule.
Every price is published on the coffee machine repairs price schedule β routine service tiers, descales, the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate. Nothing is restated here, so there is only ever one version to keep current.
Bookings go through the online service portal, which asks for the machine, the symptom, a drop-off date and the repair limit you want us to work to. Machines booked through the portal are back with you in three to five business days, subject to parts and technician availability. Dropped off without a booking, allow up to ten.
Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee on the work performed and the parts we install β the terms are at servicing guarantees. For turnaround, drop-off hours, parking and ship-in packing, see the Brisbane espresso machine repair page, or the coffee machine servicing and repairs hub for the full list of brands we take.
Yes. We no longer sell the brand, but the Office, Office Control, Office Leva and Minore still come through the workshop regularly and are standard work. The scope is every single-group domestic and semi-professional Expobar.
No. The Ruggero is the one explicit exclusion on this brand β it is outside what this workshop is set up for. Everything else in the domestic and semi-professional Expobar range is in scope.
We carry a parts range for the Office and Minore families β boilers, elements and gauges β which exists because these machines keep coming in. Anything unusual is ordered rather than pulled, and we will tell you that before the work starts rather than after.
Often, yes. These are brass-boilered heat-exchanger machines from a generation built to be opened up, with mechanical rather than electronic complexity. What ends one is usually a corroded boiler, not wear. Our repair or replace guide sets out how we make that call, and we will give you a straight answer on the phone.
The Office, Office Leva and Minore are heat-exchanger machines and sit on that routine tier. It is published, with the quotation charge and hourly labour rate, on the coffee machine repairs price schedule.
