The NCD Pulse by Nucleus Coffee Tools is an innovative espresso distribution tool that combines traditional top-layer distribution with advanced pulse vibration technology. This dual-action approach ensures a consistent and even coffee bed, enhancing extraction quality. Designed with baristas in mind, the NCD Pulse streamlines the espresso preparation process, ensuring each shot is crafted with precision and consistency. Its ergonomic design and advanced features make it an essential tool for both professional and home baristas aiming to elevate their coffee experience.
Features:
Pulse Vibration Technology: The NCD Pulse utilises subtle vibrations to evenly distribute coffee grounds within the portafilter, reducing channeling and promoting uniform extraction.
Adjustable Height Settings: With precise millimetre adjustments, users can customise the distributor's height to match various doses and coffee densities, ensuring optimal contact with the coffee bed.
Anti-Static Coated Blades: Equipped with four uniquely styled blades featuring an anti-static coating, the NCD Pulse prevents coffee grounds from sticking, maintaining cleanliness and consistency.
Wireless Operation with Long Battery Life: After charging via the activation dock, the NCD Pulse operates wirelessly, offering over 1,000 cycles on the high vibration setting, providing convenience and efficiency in busy settings.
Multiple Vibration Modes: Users can switch between low and high vibration settings to accommodate different coffee types, roasts, and doses, allowing for tailored distribution based on specific needs.
The propeller should be removed and cleaned internally around the thread depending on the amount of usage. Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dirt. We recommend cleaning the NCD Pulse propeller at least once monthly. To remove the propeller, follow these 3 steps:
Holding the top 2 outer rings of the NCD, turn the bottom ring clockwise to loosen until the propeller and bottom ring are removed.
Remove all dirt from the threads and internal surfaces. Use a dry cloth or soft brush.
Screw the pieces back together carefully, ensuring both threads are aligned.
The NCD Pulse and Activation Dock are not waterproof and should never be immersed in water or placed in a dishwasher.
Dropping the NCD Pulse or hitting it against hard surfaces should be avoided, as it may cause damage to the unit.

Built for 58 mm portafilters — the size used by essentially every prosumer machine we sell, including Bezzera, ECM, Lelit, Profitec, Quick Mill and Rocket. If you're on a 51 mm or 54 mm machine, talk to us first.

Why buy it here
Chosen by the people who service the machines.
We don't stock accessories because a distributor offered them. Our technicians use this gear on the bench every day — so if it's here, it's because it holds up and it actually fits the machines we sell.
Send it through and a specialist will come back to you — usually the same business day.

We would rather spend ten minutes helping you land on the right machine than process a return later. Call us, start a chat, email, or send this and we'll come back to you.
