The BWT bestsave limescale protection pad offers basic limescale protection for you electrical appliances with integrated water tanks.  The bestsave protection pad is incredibly easy to use as it sits in the water tank of your appliances and binds calcium ions to itself.  This prevents limescale/calcium carbonate build up in your appliances, prolonging their life.  The bestsave is made from high quality food-grade fleece which offers optimum water flow, and hygienic ion exchange for two months.
The filter also features activated carbon which binds all unwanted elements in the water such as copper and zinc; and improves the smell and taste of water.

As the ion exchange process takes 8–10 hours to remove the calcium from the water, it is recommended to be done initially overnight.  This allows for sufficient water to be available for use the next day.
