Service & repairs
Rocket and Giotto espresso machine servicing from our Brisbane workshop — the models we take, the tier yours sits on, and what it costs.
We service and repair Rocket espresso machines at our workshop in Woolloongabba, south of the Brisbane CBD. Rocket is one of the brands we sell every day, which is the reason we take the work: the same E61 group, the same heat-exchanger and dual-boiler layouts, the same seals and gaskets come across the bench most weeks.
The scope is every single-group domestic and semi-professional Rocket machine, plus all Rocket grinders. That covers the Appartamento, the Giotto range, the Mozzafiato, the Bicocca, the R Cinquantotto and the R Nine One. It does not cover the Boxer or anything else built as commercial equipment — those are a different trade, and we say so before you drive over rather than after.
The Giotto is not a separate marque. It is Rocket’s own model line, and it is serviced here as a Rocket: the Giotto Cronometro R and Cronometro V, and the Giotto FAST R with its rotary pump. Older Giottos from before the current naming are the same machine underneath and are equally welcome.
If you arrived looking for a Giotto repair page, this is it — the two pages were merged so there is one place to book and one list of what we take.
The Appartamento is the machine most Rocket owners in Brisbane have. Both the OG and the TCA are heat-exchanger machines on the E61 group, and they take the standard heat-exchanger routine service.
The Mozzafiato Cronometro R and the R FAST rotary machines, the Bicocca dual boiler, the R Cinquantotto (R58) and the R Nine One all sit in the dual-boiler and PID part of the range. A machine with a PID interface takes longer on the bench than one without, which is why the price list separates them.
For buying advice rather than servicing, our Rocket espresso machine guide covers the range, and there is a full Rocket Appartamento review.
The routine service tiers are set by machine type, not by brand, so a Rocket costs the same as any other machine of the same layout:
Every routine service includes the group seal, shower screen, tap O-rings and tap gaskets, and the machine is run under load before it goes home. The tier prices are on the price schedule.
Rocket is a current brand for us rather than a legacy one, so parts come through the same channel that supplies the showroom. The consumables a routine service consumes — group seals, screens, tap O-rings and gaskets — are the ones we work with constantly across every E61 machine in the workshop, Rocket included.
For anything beyond routine, we quote before proceeding and tell you honestly if a part has to come from Italy.
Every price is published on the coffee machine repairs price schedule — routine service tiers, descales, the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate. Nothing is restated here, so there is only ever one version to keep current.
Bookings go through the online service portal, which asks for the machine, the symptom, a drop-off date and the repair limit you want us to work to. Machines booked through the portal are back with you in three to five business days, subject to parts and technician availability. Dropped off without a booking, allow up to ten.
Every repair carries a 90-day guarantee on the work performed and the parts we install — the terms are at servicing guarantees. For turnaround, drop-off hours, parking and ship-in packing, see the Brisbane espresso machine repair page, or the coffee machine servicing and repairs hub for the full list of brands we take.
Yes. The Giotto Cronometro R, the Cronometro V and the Giotto FAST R are all serviced here, along with the older Giottos that predate the current naming. The Giotto is a Rocket model line rather than a separate brand, so it is booked and priced as a Rocket.
Commercial equipment, including the Boxer. Our workshop is set up for single-group domestic and semi-professional machines, and a commercial group is a different trade with different parts and duty cycles. Everything else in the Rocket range — Appartamento, Giotto, Mozzafiato, Bicocca, R Cinquantotto, R Nine One, and Rocket grinders — is in scope.
It depends on the machine type rather than the brand: a heat-exchanger Appartamento sits on a different routine tier from a PID dual boiler like the R Nine One. Every tier is published on the coffee machine repairs price schedule, along with the quotation charge and the hourly labour rate.
Yes. We take machines shipped in from anywhere in Australia. Book online first, pack the machine so it cannot move inside the carton, and include the booking confirmation in the box. Packing notes and the shipping address are on the Brisbane repair page. Transit damage is the sender’s responsibility, so it is worth doing properly.
Three to five business days if you book through the online portal, subject to parts and technician availability. Dropped off without a booking, allow up to ten business days. Same-day service is available if you call 1300 551 626 and pre-arrange it before bringing the machine in.
